The Room of The Sky and The Sea

No need title for the room we create
Our laughters speak louder
Our conversations dive deeper
And our silences create a chamber

You said you don’t keep people but you keep me
I said the same, and I do too
Have you ever wondered?
How two people so bad at holding on
Still ended up holding each other this long?
We built something that lasted
Not because we tried too hard
But because we never really let go

I still don’t understand
The space between us is like the sky and the sea
It’s infinite but reflecting each other exactly
And when we stand on the shore
They merge perfectly
Create the most beautiful sunset
And the brightest sunrise
It’s always there
Like the stillness that we have

And how do you lightly share the stories under your skin?
You must feel me like home and always free to come in
Because I feel the same too
But sometimes I wonder
Why there’s no door to close?
No lock to keep just us enclosed
And yet, I do not wish for one
Whatever it is, it breathes on its own
Unwritten, unclaimed, but deeply and endlessly ours

I run out of sentences to describe us
Can’t find the right words to define us
Can’t understand why this connection stays
I’m lost in it, sometimes and always
Is this really meant to be untold?
Is this really how our soul ties unfold?

Your unspoken, distant love
Though the way it shows not always in the forms I could see
It’s quiet, yet feels just enough
Because I love myself so fully
And there’s nothing missing in me
But you complete me, gently

So I let it be
Whatever it is meant to be
I trust the universe to lead
Where shall the path go
Whether it’s together or quietly in echo
